Warranty

Central Penn Radon, Inc., warrants most of its systems for ten (10) years.

Central Penn Radon, Inc.,  will reduce the airborne radon concentrations below the EPA guideline of 4.0 pCi/l for a period of ten (10) years from the date of installation. The work will be performed in accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) radon mitigation standards.  If the initial installation does not reduce radon levels below 4.0 pCi/l, Central Penn Radon, Inc., will make necessary system modifications.  The warranty is transferable to subsequent homeowners.

If a retest is done during the warranty period (either by the homeowner using an EPA certified lab or a PA DEP certified radon testing company) and the levels have become elevated, Central Penn Radon, Inc., will provide a second, confirmatory test. Central Penn Radon, Inc., may, at its discretion, provide a long-term test kit. If radon levels are still elevated above 4 pCi/l, Central Penn Radon, Inc., will make any necessary repairs/alterations at no charge.

The fan is covered under its own 5-year warranty. If, during the fan’s warranty period, the fan should fail, the fan will be replaced, and is subject to a service charge.

The warranty will be null and void if Central Penn Radon, Inc., does not receive the results of a post-mitigation test within 30 days of installation.
